At Mesa Piano, we’re quite fond of the Schimmel K213 (7′ Semi-Concert Grand Piano) made in Braunschweig, Germany. In fact, it’s the the piano we have in our own home. But like many pianos, ours has a polished ebony finish.
This one really caught my eye (how could it not?) at a recent visit to Arizona Piano Company in Phoenix. The custom, “blood orange” color made heads turn whenever someone walked into the showroom. It might not be for everyone, but I like it. This piano is a bold statement and it’s eventually going to be the center of attention in someone’s living room.
